Château Le Coteau is one of the last AOC family farms and also a prestigious wine from the appellation Margaux. History reminds us that not so long ago, in the early 80s, polyculture was applied. It was at the instigation of Eric Léglise (winemaker and renowned oenologist), who bought the property in 1993, that many changes were made and wine became the only crop. The construction of a new vat in 2001 is a testament to the investments made by Eric Léglise and his team. The goal was, and still remains, to modernize the vinification equipments in order to bring the best wine to its aficionados.

12 hectares of land constitute the sumptuous terroir of Château Le Coteau. It is located on the beautiful gravelly lands of Margaux which shelter the ideal composition to obtain a grape of a great maturity and a wine of a great quality. The harvest is done manually. It is applied within the vineyard, a responsible and sustainable viticulture. The vinification is fragmented and thermoregulated, before aging for 12 to 16 months in new French oak barrels. The Château Le Coteau grape variety is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.

Many fruits, witnesses to all the grace of the appellation as well as a powerful and balanced mouth, mark the tasting of Château Le Coteau.
