History
In 1964, the Demarchi family acquired Château Haut Queyran, formerly Domaine de Haut Brion until 1989. Since 2001, the descendants of the Demarchi family, Patricia and Laurent, have taken over the property and cultivated the family know-how with the same passion as their ancestors.
Terroir & Vinification
The terroir of Château Haut Queyran consists of 15 hectares of vineyards north of the Medoc, on the edge of St-Estèphe on a clay-limestone soil. Vinification is done in concrete vats, staves are used to bring this nice wooden touch to the wine.
Tasting
At the tasting, Château Haut Queyran offers a nose typical of its appellation: superb notes of spices and red fruits. The lenght of this wine is very pleasant and typic of the Medoc appellation.
