The history of Château Tour Bicheau, which Château L’Arc Saint Pierre depends on, begins in 1876. It is by means of barges across the Garonne, that are transported the stones of quarries which served to erect the famous crenellated tower. Patrick Daubas, representing the fifth generation of the family, conveys his passion by combining family know-how and modern oenology techniques.
The terroir of Château l’Arc Saint-Pierre is made up of 24 hectares of vines planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, on gravely clay soil. The vineyard culture of Château L’Arc Saint Pierre is as authentic as possible. All the work is done manually for the thoroughness and precision of a culture that is as qualitative as possible. The entire estate is also vinified by hand to prevent any oxidation or crushing of the grapes. By its encépagement, by the nature of the ground, by the skilful care given to the culture, this domain produces a wine of high quality. The red wines are mostly aged in French oak barrels, a third of which are renewed each year.
At the tasting, the wine of Château l’Arc Saint-Pierre and wine has a frank nose with notes of ripe red and black fruits. Beautiful aromatic frankness with crunchy tannins on an appreciable length.
