As you already know, Futures are coming … ! That the reason why we start to receive many invitations to taste this 2015 vintage, already announced as exceptional.
Today, it was the turn of Château d’Issan. As one of our familial partners, and because this 2015 has a special meaning, we wanted to give you more explanation about it.
The estate is currently led by Emmanuel Cruse, a cousin of Frederic Bernard owner of Bordeaux Tradition. The first known reference about d’Issan dates back from the XIIth century, during the English occupation of Guyenne. It is now recognized as “3rd classified growth of Margaux since the 1855 ranking. Like its prestigious neighbour Ch. Margaux, it is one of the few Right Bank wines facing the river (Latour, Léoville Las Cases, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande)
More than a tasting of the 2015 vintage, it will be also the celebration of the 70th vintage of the Cruse family (1945-2015) ! In order to highlight this anniversary, Château d’Issan will welcome professionals during the official En Primeur week, (Monday 4th-Friday 8th of April) from 9.00AM to 5.30PM. Be careful, if you are a professional and want to taste this vintage, an appointment is mandatory and you need to RSVP at issan@chateau-issan.com
