“This estate is finally making a qualitative comeback”
– Robert PARKER
Since the estate was purchased by the BON family in 2001, the infrastructures were entirely renovated:
- The cellar was renovated and welcomes today thermo-regulated tanks of 60hl of continence. This new cellar doesn’t demand the use of pumps during the pumping-overs which allows the limitation of oxidized grapes.
- A storage room and barrel cellar were also reconstructed
- Drainage work was led in 2002 which allows today a soil perfectly drained added to the vineyards excellent exposition: the maturation of the grapes is ideal as well as the irrigation
- The renowned oenologist advisor Stéphane DERENONCOURT follows the estate since 2004
With all these changes the wine has been brought back to life and is today a gem of Saint Emilion, and one of the best quality/price ratio of the appellation.
