After having tasted some Medoc 2006, we tasted last week some petits châteaux and had the quite same conclusions. 2006 will be a great vintage not so good as 2005 but for sure better than 1999.

But (there is one) the quality is not homogene. The growers who made some nice wines are some good winemakers and took care at the vineyard spending some time in the vines specially during the summer. It was also very important to look after the grapes after the harvest to eliminate the rot. So it’s very interesting to try some 2006 to do its own opinion.
